Port of Provideniya: A Solution to Navigation Challenges in the Eastern Section of the Northern Sea Route.

On June 1, Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed the Government of the Russian Federation, together with the Maritime Board and the State Council Commission on the Northern Sea Route and the Arctic, to consider the establishment of international consortia with friendly countries for the development of ports, logistics centers, and infrastructure facilities along the Trans-Arctic Transport Corridor. This initiative is included in the official list of instructions issued following a government meeting.
